Hello!

My journey in life has always held two constant things: my love for the performing arts and my passion for theatre education.

This stems from having a brother on the Autism Spectrum and TYA being one of the first ways we were able to connect with each other. He was completely non-verbal for the first 6 years of his life but could act out every part of Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang with me. When I first started acting in children’s theatre plays, he was “working” backstage with a parent and moving set pieces off and on. These core memories have been the foundational blocks for who I am today- a TYA instructor and director, as well as a teacher and mentor for neurodiverse community members in their artistic endeavors.

Teaching is something I have always been passionate about, and continue to work towards. My goals are to bring theatre opportunities to neurodiverse children and adults within the community, as well as continue to teach, direct, and creatre better programs around children's theatre.

and tools in working with all levels

“Izabel’s creativity, passion for the arts, and her ability to engage students of all levels made her a standout educator. She created an inclusive and inspiring environment where students felt encouraged to express themselves, explore their creativity, and grow in confidence.”   -Geoff Gifford MS. Ed, Academic Director The Titus School LLC, an ABA private school

"She is structural yet still passionate and I felt like she did a great job at keeping the whole class on track. She is also really great at de-escalating and resolving the big emotions that some of our campers deal with. Izabel is a very talented teacher, musical theatre artist, detailed administrator and a good communicator."
- ALLIANCE THEATRE summer camp, anonymous feedback
“When I observed her classes, I saw that her lesson plans were thought out and specific, filled with educational games that helped teach core theatre principles... When speaking with students’ parents about her classes, they often remarked how kind and patient she was with their children, and how impressed they were with what their child had learned during the semester. ”
— Richard Mazda, Artistic Director of The Secret Theatre, Queens NY
"Izabel is gifted at one-to-one work with special needs/neuro-diverse students. Izabel took a caretaker, hawk-eye role with our emotionally disregulated student from day 1."    -ALLIANCE THEATRE summer camp, anonymous feedback
